Monday Blues...

It's been one hell of a week...

First, a huge snow storm comes and knocks out our power for FOUR days! Then my kids all get the flu (or at least some weird virus) and can't go to school this week.

I need a vacation...from the snow-cation. I NEED to be in...

January can be rather depressing. We all need to take a trip someplace when it's so cold and depressing outside!

And then there is Fin. My favorite little home wrecker!

True story - his teacher from his play-group called me to tell me she just couldn't "handle him"anymore and that he is just too rough...Oh, and that he doesn't listen...and that she can't trust him and that I would need to provide an extra hand (teachers aid) in his class of FIVE kids so that she wouldn't have to pay so much attention to him! Perhaps this would be a reasonable request if I weren't paying the woman an insane amount of money!!! (to watch 5 kids, for 3 hours - twice a week)LOL...no joke.

New Years resolution - to try and keep up with myself.

So far this year I have been thinking a lot about parties. Who doesn't love a kick-ass shindig?! When it's cold and depressing outside, I like to have something to look forward to - so I am planning a party!

SOOOO it's been a while - sorry about that! I have been rather swapped with the holly jolly holidays and all that it comes with! I have to be at a cocktail party in 7 minutes and I haven't even showered...Ops! I'll make this quick.

This Months Obsession....

This weeks OBSESSION...

In my next house, my grown-up house - if you will : ) I would love a more formal living space. This certainly doesn't lend itself so my current situation, but when there are no more diapers to be bought, I would love a large formal dining room, a beautiful front hall, and an bigger master bathroom (ours is WAY to small!) .... not that I am complaining!(wink)

I adore all this fabulous chinoiserie paper. It's all so fancy and fun, which I love!

Loving...

I have been on this lavender kick for the last year or two. In fact, I just emailed my decorator/friend (sally steponkus) to help me find some fab lavender paper for Lucy's room. I think we found some from O&L, I will post some pictures when/if the project ever gets under way.

In the mean time, I am inspired by all this....

Love the soft pink with the lavender and blue hue's.

I mean, who doesn't love Bergdorf's! It may as well be heaven on earth as far as I am concerned.

These, of course, are the chairs that inspired ours we had made for sassanova.
